Project Summary

This Erasmus+ Training Course is designed to respond to a recurring challenge in youth work, particularly in rural and disadvantaged contexts: the difficulty of establishing effective, meaningful and inclusive communication with young people, especially those with fewer opportunities.

Many youth workers, volunteers and local organisations struggle to engage young people due to communication barriers, misunderstandings, lack of trust and limited tools to adapt their language and methods to local realities.

Speak Up! Stand Out! addresses this gap by strengthening communication, relational and facilitation skills through a non-formal, experiential and intercultural learning process.

Through interactive workshops, peer learning activities and intercultural exchange, the project will involve around 25 youth workers from Italy, Spain, Portugal, Romania and Estonia, creating a shared learning space to explore effective communication in youth workinclusive engagement strategies and participatory approaches for working with young people, particularly those with fewer opportunities.

Activities will include hands-on workshops, practical simulations, group work and reflection sessions, all delivered through non-formal education methods and grounded in participants’ real-life youth work experiences.

The long-term goal is to improve the quality of youth work practices and foster stronger connections between young people and their communities.
